Thanks for that Chris - and I agree, it's the written equivalent of shouting.
But let me make this clear.
What is the point of my making corrections in the database if somebody is over riding such revisions?
Why when a member makes an appeal to revert some changes, is the profile reverted before there is consideration as to whether this is the correct action or, heaven forbid is it because of the individual concerned?
This aircraft is not a DIERENFIELD DENNIS B, nor is the model a DIERENFIELD SPECIAL.
It is one of nineteen White Lightening WLAC-1's.
This is the correct identification and the one it should be given in the database.
The information contained in FAA database is an irrelevancy and so is Mr Dierenfield's choices although I happily concede that he has every right to do so.
The strange identity of N805WL is repeated thousands of times in the FAA database for manufacturers such as Vans, Rans, Lancair, Rutan, etc, all models that are built from kits. I'm not decrying the work of the builders but a "Smith R Speedy" is not a Vans RV-6A.
I have worked diligently making many many hundreds of corrective revisions of this sort without any comment from members until now.
I also note that my post has been read a number of times and only Chris has had the courtesy to respond. May we have a little more teamwork please.
I am therefore ceasing immediately with the extensive corrective revisions planned until someone will give me an assurance that there will no repeat of this event; and of course that N805WL will again be corrected.
I am very disappointed!
Malcolm.
