I have the feeling that I may have made this point previously!
There are, as we know, very large numbers of ex US military aircraft in the FAA database that have been registered recording their military registration as the cn rather than the original manufacturers serial.
Clearly we don't want to loose this link but it is time consuming to raise a linked profile to record the correct cn when editing or to raise a comment against each profile.
I have therefore adopted the principle of retaining the military reg when correcting the cn, thus
N143SP 1966 Bell UH-1H (205) cn 5548 (66-1065)
Should an image of the military version appear, we can then raise a new profile accordingly.
