It is an utter disgrace that you feel it necessary to refer to the work by members of the Administration Team as "messing about with" and to follow up with the fatuous remark "correct FAA registration".
We have spent long hours working in the interest of members such as yourself and it is both unhelpful and de-motivating to send such denigrating post.
Worthy as the FAA undoubtedly are in the field of aviation safety, etc., their register is widely accepted as a grossly inaccurate document in terms of aircraft recognition (identification).
N7224A is one of eight Osprey GP-4's listed in the database.
George Pereira is the designer and Osprey are accepted as the manufacturer, even in cases where they supplied plans to a builder.
This aircraft is NOT correctly listed by the FAA, and yes, as you say, it was built by "BAUM STEVE ALLEN" but this does not mean he should be listed as the manufacturer.
I too have copies of Jane whose listing is Osprey (Pereira). Pereira is not a manufacturer, he is a designer working for/with a manufacturer.
"Perieira's GP3 Osprey II design is a totally different experimental aircraft."
I have no idea what this has to do with your N7224A "problem"!
I see no reason why the profile should be revised.
