Good morning Walt
I see that you have raised a new profile under N20T in respect of the four photos recently uploaded by ?@?.
However although the new profile may be valid, I have yet to convince myself that it relates to the photos in question. N40T is clearly listed a single engine aircraft and it seems more likely that this is
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sport_Jet_II
which was a one off amateur built aircraft designed by Bob Bornhofen with the cn 001, with the engine is mounted in the aft of the fuselage and provided with two intakes, one on each side of the fuselage.
However the fuselage seen in two of the images has no fuselage air intakes and no fuselage jet exit.
Instead it has two short stubs above and to the rear of the wing mountings which I think are the mounting stubs for twin engines.
It bears a strong resemblance in terms of the overall layout to the Maverickjet range but does not quite match any of the individual models.
A further query is the registration applied to the flat stub at the top of the tail which incidentally is probably for the attachment of the tailplane on the finished aircraft. But that could have been an intention to register which was not implemented with this aircraft.
As you are aware, much of the work I have been carrying out in the database is to implement correct identity information and I would prefer to use Sport Jet II for the new N20T profile and to add a comment explaining its background.
Regarding the photos, as I say I don’t think we have yet identified the airframe and I am still investigating. I suggest raising a forum posting to include the two most explanatory images asking for assistance with the identification.
Thanks,
Malcolm.
