I have been able to deal with N523WB 2005 Berg Wayne VAN'S RV-8 by linking it with C-FIAL then deleting the original profile. For some strange reason the other two cannot be edited within the Aircraft Profiles page.

The only way I can think of doing it, it to make a new profile then delet the original.

just tried my idea with N333LM but the photo has disappeared, it is not even showing on the Aircraft photos without a profile page.

very strange!!!!

Thanks Chris, I have done just that on a number of occasions recently but this time it's "a bridge too far".

Also I believe that if a new profile is raised, any photos will not follow to the new profile. I prefer that Ken is made aware of the problem.

When I started editing Vans, there were just over 3000 correctly identified in the database. As a result of my work, that number has increased to 7,036 but I still have more than a 1,000 to correct, either because the manufacturer is wrong or the model is specified as RV6, RV 6, RV6-A, etc.

Also it is quite clear that someone has been raising duplicate profiles to re-instate a persons name as the manufacturer as per the FAA database. I feel certain that that is the case as the new profile does not include the FAA detail, certain fields not being available when members/visitors raise new profiles.

The removal of our ability to edit pictures is indeed now limiting the editing of profiles as I see at times little point when the accompanying images end up in "Photos without a profile" and I now have quite a list, even whole pages of a type I wish to correctly edit!

I have now found even more of the duplicate light aircraft profiles with the owners name re-instated as per the FAA. Somewhat petty minded me thinks!

Meanwhile, Mr Barber, Mr Pattle, Mr Lueck, etc continue to ignore the rules and post as they wish, together with a significant number of people orientated images. Such a shame! I feel that to some extent I am not to trusted, all down to a single image uploaded by a sad individual.
